4th Annual Run, Spot, Run! 2001

    Run, Spot, Run! SPLASHING FUN!
Families and Kids Run a Cross Country Mile
June 2 is spring in Connecticut. We planned our fun run for the early morning and hoped to see butterflies flitting in the air, but alas it poured, rained, sprinkled, and poured again. There were no blue skies in the usual sense but the spirit of the kids and their families made our day more light hearted and fun than we could imagine. The kids ran their miles in the woods without a complaint, in fact they seemed to have more fun than they would have had on a sunny dry day.

In the true sense of trail runners, they ignored advice to bypass the puddles and sloshed straight through. Every child finished. Each kid was a winner! They all received beautiful medals, pins, raffle tickets, T-shirts, hats, tattoos, and more. The food was healthy, the atmosphere positive, and it was a day to remember forever. Here are some photos from our very fun day.
