RUNNING NUMBERS
What the Kids Have to Say

ceiling
Our Classroom Collection of Running Numbers
Hangs Below Store Bought Cycling Numbers

The 'Question of the Day' was, "Do you think that kids running a race or fun run should all wear number ones or do you think that they should wear different numbers?"

child EMILY: I want different numbers, because then if you got the lowest number it would be cool and if you got the highest number it would be cool.

PASQUALE: I want number one because I like number one.

BRIANNA: I would not rather have all number ones, because it would be boring.

BRIAN: Yes, I would like all number ones because one is a lucky number.

ADAM: I would like different numbers so no kids would get mixed up.

MOLLY: I would like different numbers because I like to collect things.child

TOMMY: I would rather have different numbers, because maybe my parents couldn't find me if we all had the same numbers.

KATIE B.: Yes, I would rather have all number ones because it will be funny.

RACHEL A.: I would wear different numbers because you could find your kid easier.

RACHEL G.: Everyone should have their own number because if you said, "Go number 1!" then you would be cheering for everyone and not just your child and it would be kind of confusing.

NATALIE: Everyone should just be different.

CHAD: I would like different numbers so that everyone could be different!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JUSTIN: I would rather have all different numbers because then I would look like a real racer.

BILLY: Yes, I would want all number ones because one is the best number of all.
