ALL SAINTS REGIONAL CATHOLIC SCHOOL, GLEN COVE, NY UPDATE School Running Program Grows Contact: Gene Rooney susroon@aol.com All Saints Running Web Site The school running program is still up and running and we are painting a track in our parking lot to keep the children excited about running! Over the past 2 months we started a CYO Track team in our local parish to allow the kids to begin to compete and take the running to a next level (by the way 90% of the 62 kids on our team are from our lunch and summer running program at ASR). Yesterday we competed in our first meet, around 400 kids in all from 7 parishes,  which was held for K through 8th grade and our kids won a lot of medals and ribbons. They all had a spectacular time. The look on the Kids faces competing and running made all the work we have done pay off. Thanks again for your Web site and keep up the good work. A LITTLE MORE ABOUT THE CLUB The Glen Cove, N.Y.  All Saints Regional (ASR)  Kids Running program has grown from a voluntary lunch running program ,  to a  CYO Track team of 62 kids who have just started competing against other Parishes on Long Island. In between  we held optional weekend running at a local track during the School year , optional running once a week during the summer and held Kids Runs to raise money to pay for technology at the school. The one constant has been the children and their love to run. As always we use the kidrsunning.com Web site for inspiration and new ideas. The funding for the track painting is a partnership between the school and the parish.
