This woman is strong!

Many people do not understand the benefits of physical exercise. I know how terrific running makes me feel! Running is a part of my daily lifestyle.

I train alone or with my running friends. We meet on Wednesday evenings to do speed work and sometimes we run races on the weekends.

I feel strong because I train hard and eat well. Part of fitness is properly fueling my body. I make sure to eat a carefully planned diet which includes fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and carbohydrates.

Junk food is okay in moderation. I admit my weakness is chocolate. I love candy stores. When I've been really good, my husband takes me to one, but I make sure to make the box last a l-o-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-g time and that is because running and nutrition go hand in hand for health and fitness.

Thanks to Lori for kicking off our healthy eating and running theme.

Kids, it can be fun to eat and run to stay healthy. Let us know how you plan your diet to eat more carbs and veggies as well as less fats and sweets and definitely let us know how you think RUNNING keeps you healthy.
