Becky and Billy
My Rabbit

by Carol Goodrow

Becky: Billy, I am sad.

Billy: Becky, I see your face. I see that you are sad. Why are you sad Becky?

Becky: Billy, I am sad because my pet rabbit, Whiskers, is sick. Mother took Whiskers to the vet. Whiskers is old.

Billy: Becky, I was sad when my cat, Blackie, died. Blackie was old, too.

Becky: But I love Whiskers.

Billy: I know, Becky. I know.

Becky: Billy, what should I do? I am so sad.

Billy: Let's run, Becky. Let's run, Gingerbread Girl. Running will make you feel better.

Becky: Yes, Billy. Let's run. Running always makes me feel better.
