Becky: Hello, Billy.
Billy: Hello, Becky.
Becky: Billy, you look red. Are you red because it is Valentine's Day?
Billy: No, Becky. I am red because I have been running.
Becky: How far did you run, Billy?
Billy: I ran five blocks, Becky.
Becky: I see your bag, Billy. Did you run all the way to the candy store?
Billy: Yes, Becky. I ran to the candy store.
Becky: I have a little card for you, Billy. Here it is.
Billy: Thank you, Becky. Here, Becky, this is for you.
Becky: Oh, it's three candy hearts. One is white chocolate, one is milk chocolate, and I see a red sugar heart. Are they all for me?
Billy: Yes, Becky, they are all for you.
Becky: Billy, can we give the red sugar heart to the gingerbread girl? We can stick it on her with frosting.
Billy: Yes, Becky. We can do that with the red sugar heart.
Becky: Oh, thank you, Billy! Thank you! Let's run and find her now.
Billy: Yes, Becky, let's run. Let's run and find your gingerbread girl.
Becky and Billy: Happy Valentine's Day!
There are so many ways to make reading fun. Reading a play is one way. The kids love this one and it's great for splitting the boys and girls up for choral reading. It's even more fun if you decorate cookies too.
We love to get graphics too. And thanks to Katie B. for the cat.
