![]() ![]() Privacy Policy May 17, 2007, KIDSRUNNING.COM'S PRIVACY POLICY KidsRunning.Com's privacy policy is in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA) which pertains to children under 13 years of age. PERSONAL INFORMATION or Public Disclosures No personal information collected from children will be shared with 3rd parties. The operator of this site will not print or distribute a home address, email address, or telephone number of any child under the age of 13. All personal information collected will be for internal purposes or for photo permission collected from parents and shared only with Rodale. PINs for VERIFIABLE PARENTAL CONSENT/Kids' Online Privileges KidsRunning.Com has implemented a PIN (personal identification number) security system for kids (under 13 ) and parents. We encourage parents of kids under 17 years of age to also apply for PINs for themselves and for their kids. Click HERE for an explanation of PIN procedure. Click HERE for the PIN application. Through the PIN application we will collect contact information or publication notification and permission to print stories, artwork, guest book posts, and letters online. Without a PIN materials will only be collected offline or with prior written permission. Photo permission will be collected from parents through a signed Rodale Model Release. No photos will be printed without this signed release. LETTERS TO THE EDITOR and KIDS' EMAILS to KidsRunning Children under 13 will be allowed to email the editor and running coach (Coach Ed). The editor and coach will respond once to the email. Through the PIN application, parents can give permission for KidsRunning.Com to print letters to the editor. Parents can also give permission for Carol Goodrow to email a child more than once or for Carol to forward an email to a coach or to Runner's World. Email addresses will only be saved with permission, by procedures indicated above. All other (under 13) kids' email addresses will be deleted. Occasionally a letter from a child might indicate a good lead to a news or other article. In that case the editor may send a notice to the parent asking for parental written permission to follow the lead to a news article. COOKIES
