Sports and Fitness for the Health of It Symposium March 1st and 2nd will be held in conjunction with the Spring RunOff race March 3rd 2002 sponsored by the Pueblo Chieftain newspaper. Pete Saccone (Funner to be a Runner teacher) is going to do a free program for parents and kids on Saturday in addition to the symposium and then he will run with parents and kids at the one mile "Pete Saccone" race on Sunday March 3rd. The other "Celebrity speakers" -triathlete Mike Pigg, 93 World Marathon Champion Mark Plaatjes, and John (the Penguin) Bingham are also going to run with the kids/parents as well.
