Activate Attleboro 4th & 5th Grade Step Challenge 2007
The Activate Attleboro Step Challenge is a friendly walking contest in the Attleboro Public School system. Which 4th- and 5th-grade school can walk the most steps in 4 weeks?
Rules of the contest: Each 4th and 5th grade student will be given a pedometer to measure the amount of steps they take. Students will record their daily steps and reset the pedometers to 0 daily. Teachers will record the total number of steps the students take and report that total weekly. Students will be allowed to record steps on the weekend and during school vacation. The last day of the contest is May 4th.
The results of the contest will be announced May 5th at the annual YMCA & Community *Healthy Kids Day between 10 a.m. & noon at Balfour River Walk Park.
The step counts will be forwarded to the Sun Chronicle Newspaper and KidsRunning.Com so the community can follow the progress of the schools.
The winners of each grade will be determined by dividing the total steps by the number of students in each school. The highest net total wins!
Total Steps from April 11 to May 4, 2007
