logo Press Release, January 8, 2008- TALENT SEARCH
Last year's edition of "Props," which aired September 1, 2007 featured: two sisters getting a tennis lesson from Billie Jean King; a basketball player receiving personal coaching and some one-on-one time with NBA Golden State Warriors All-Star Baron Davis; a young surfer/skateboarder who received private lessons from Bob Burnquist and Andy Irons; a young blues guitarist who met Jonny Lang and performed with him onstage at The Fillmore in San Francisco; and a band of 12-year olds from Oregon who recorded their song in a professional recording studio in Los Angeles with the music producers who produced "High School Musical."

The show and concept were a big hit and Cartoon Network would like to re-cast it for another run in 2008. This year we're also looking for youth who have made extraordinary contributions to their community. We are looking for performers, athletes, filmmakers, artists, comedians, musicians, do-gooders -- the kinds of kids that would appeal to viewers of Cartoon Network from ages 6-16 years.
