Art by Elaina, "Funner" to be a Runner Program. Checklist by Carol Goodrow.
The Willington Run for Health, Fitness, and Recreation featured a half mile fun run, mile fun run, and competitive 5K. It was a unique event, in that there were more kids, than adults. This event was created by Phil Stevens, physical education teacher and runner to promote the important message of the many benefits of exercise.
The kids were happy with the ribbons, medals, raffle, and healthy food: apples, oranges, bagels, and water, but their smiles were most evident during the fun runs for everyone was a winner here today.
