The race will include a cross-country style team competition. The 1 mi run/walk is non-competitive. The race will be "green," meaning that waste outputs and energy inputs will be minimized; for example, organic cotton t-shirts, non intrusive course markings, local and low waste food products, and recycled materials will be used on race day. Local environmentally friendly businesses will be invited to showcase their products and services. This event will be a great way to teach kids about nature and running at the same time!
