Snugly tied sneakers - they are a basic, but if you have a running club, don't assume that your runners will arrive wearing them. Educate and require. - Carol Goodrow |
SNEAKERS by Carol Goodrow Art from Carol's book Kids Running: Have Fun, Get Faster & Go Farther
It's time to run so what do I do?
I wear my favorite running shoes!
I take a leap and hit the ground.
The earth's not hard when I come down.
Because it's sprouted friendly hands,
That push me up above the land.
High toward the trees, close to the sky,
I feel like I could almost fly.
The cloud's a net and I'm a trout.
It catches me and flings me out.
I'm a ball and the game's in play.
The earth rebounds and I'm on my way.
