Dear Carol,
My five year-old daughter loves to run. I have just
completed
the Boston Marathon (my 17th marathon) but my daughter still claims that
she
is faster than Daddy. She does win all the "hallway" races!
What is a good, fun program for her to follow?
Thanks for your help,
Joe
Dear
Joe,
Your best bet is our Rainbow Cave Ribbon Program.Your daughter can have
running and earn a colorful ribbon at the same time. She will run and log a series of
50 meter runs.
It's a run to 'read and color' program which is perfect for a five year-old and because the distances are fairly short, it's a great program for a child who loves speed. The distances are short enough that you can race with her sometimes and maybe she'll even let you win now and then!

Have fun with this program and congrats on your Boston Finish!

Note from the kid's editor: Kids love a fast sprint. The Rainbow Cave Program is designed for our youngest runners, but older runners have fun with this distance too! We bought our Rainbow Cave ribbons for our littlest runners, but we have a few special Rainbow Cove ribbons for some of our older runners.
